J Michael Vagott (1958- ) was born in the rural town of Matewan, WV, home of the Hatfield/McCoy Feud. On his Father's side of the family he comes from immigrant settlers from Budapest Hungary who came to America to work in the mining industry. Vagott knew he was destined to become a writer at a very early age, writing convincing excuses from “Mom” for school when he didn’t do his homework. Seriously, he has been writing for many years but, only recently decided to try his hand at writing fiction to sell. His first book, Betcha Can’t Stick a Fork in My Eye: And Other Stupid things I’ve Said and Done, is a true book about his very accident prone life. What can I say about my family? They are the most amazing family I could have ever hoped for! Starting with my Mom and Dad. They are the most wonderful parents anyone could ask for. I get my crazy humor and my uncanny ablilty to have constant, freaky accidents from my Dad. I also have his work ethic although, my Mom is a very hard worker too. From my Mom I got my passion for writing and singing and performing. I have two beautiful sisters, Vicki and Sherry. They are so talented, and I'm so blessed to have them for sisters! They also help me a lot with editing my manuscripts and bouncing ideas off of. I wouldn't have a book published yet without their help. All of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are equaling amazing! And last but most definitely not least, is my wonderful, beautiful wife. She is my rock and my biggest cheerleader! She's always there for me and without her, I would have never gotten anything done! Love you a Bushel and a Peck and a hug around the neck!
I have so many projects and books in the works! Next up after Blood Feud Book Two will be an inspirational book that I have started to work on. It will be very different from my previous books. It will be filled with poems, songs, devotions and what God and Jesus mean to me. I'm a walking miracle and God is the reason!
I will also be working on a book tentatively titled: Bad Bones. This book is about a detective who has been trying to solve a series of murders. He has a serial killer on the loose and he has vowed to stop him. He finally gets a lead and, while chasing the killer, there is a car crash, and the killer dies, and the detective is badly injured and needs to have surgery to repair and replace vertebrae in his back.
The surgery goes well but, as time goes by, the detective notices that he's beginning to have nightmares about chasing a killer but, when he catches up to him he realizes that he is the killer! At one of his doctor visits he mentions the nightmares to his doctor and the doctor tells him a chilling story.
It seems that the donor who donated the vertebra was the serial killer who died in the accident! Now, with each passing day, the detective falls deeper and deeper into this nightmare, even "waking up" in the forest covered in blood. Did the detective kill someone or is there something even more sinister going on?
